Great Quality Ice Maker Repair On Samsung Refrigerator in Ormond Beach, FL
June 22, 2026
CRS All Appliance Repair was called to Ormond Beach, Florida to diagnose a Samsung refrigerator that was not producing ice and had an ice bucket stuck inside. Our technician arrived ready to find the root cause and restore the ice maker to normal operation.
We started by defrosting the ice bucket so we could access the ice maker and inspect why it was not producing ice. The bucket was frozen in place, which prevented a full view of the ice maker and the surrounding components. Once the ice bucket was thawed and removed, we were able to see the condition of the ice maker clearly.
With the bucket out, it was obvious the ice maker itself was iced up. Samsung refrigerators are commonly reported to have ice maker problems, and this unit showed the classic signs, including heavy buildup and restricted movement. We inspected the assembly to determine which parts needed replacement and checked the fan and auger assembly inside the ice maker compartment.
During inspection we found the fan inside the ice maker compartment was frozen and locked up, likely a result of the prolonged icing. Because the fan and auger assembly were not operating, the ice maker could not cycle or move ice properly. To fully resolve the issue we replaced the ice maker with a new unit, and we also replaced the fan and auger assembly at the same time.
Replacing both the ice maker and the fan and auger assembly allowed all mechanical components to function together properly. After the new parts were installed and tested for proper fit and clearance, we reassembled the ice bucket and leveled the refrigerator as needed for correct operation. We left the unit to complete its initial cycles and to allow any remaining moisture to clear.
The ice maker began producing ice the next day, confirming the repairs resolved the problem. The customer in Ormond Beach, Florida had a refrigerator that was once again making ice as expected, with the frozen fan and iced up ice maker replaced to prevent recurrence of the same failure.
CRS All Appliance Repair documented the work performed, including the parts replaced and the observations that led to those replacements. If your Samsung refrigerator is not producing ice or has a stuck ice bucket, this project shows the typical diagnostic steps and the practical repairs that restore ice production safely and reliably.
